The minimum age varies according to the type of holiday and is specified on each data sheet. Regardless of age, all participants must be able to swim and meet the physical and technical requirements.
Please specify your diet when registering. Most of the menus on offer are vegetarian. If this is not the case, we will adapt the menus for vegetarians without adding complementary foods. For other diets, we will do our best to meet your needs without prior guarantee.
Privatisation is possible, with a minimum cost equivalent to that of 6 participants. For tailor-made holidays, our team is on hand to advise you.
Registrations close one week before the start of the holiday. We are flexible, so please do not hesitate to contact us for any late requests.
It is possible to register multiple participants at once, as long as they meet all the required criteria. Select the date and the number of participants during the online booking process.
You can book online on the page of your chosen holiday. Select your departure date and follow the instructions. If you have any questions or need help, our team is at your service.
In addition to French, our guides are fluent in English, and some also speak Spanish. Non-French-speaking participants must understand English to follow the safety instructions.
Available dates are posted on our website. Depending on demand, new dates may be added, so don't hesitate to contact us with your request. Keep up to date via our social networks and our newsletter.
We have single and double packrafts available. The choice depends on the length of your stay and availability. Please contact us for any specific requests.
The technical level concerns your level of packraft navigation. For some expeditions, the rivers can be very rough and you will need to know how to paddle before venturing out on such an expedition. The physical level concerns your fitness and physical condition for an expedition, both in terms of your general sporting ability and your mental state and comfort. In any case, don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We have personally explored and designed all our routes and are here to guide you.
Knowing how to swim is compulsory to take part in our holidays.
For each trip, we provide a packraft, paddle, lifejacket, waterproof bag and carry bag. Depending on the trip chosen, a neoprene wetsuit and helmet may also be included.
For guided micro-adventures, a tent is provided for bivouacs. However, sleeping bags and mattresses are not provided.
Yes, your shoes will get wet because they'll go in the water. For safety reasons, shoes must be worn on all our adventures.
For micro-adventures, we recommend that you have a spare pair of shoes for the evening.
We recommend a pair of trainers with suitable soles, such as sports shoes. Water shoes are not accepted for white-water adventures, as our adventurers systematically lose them in the river with the current.
For free-roaming adventures, we offer camping and cooking equipment for hire. Please make your request as soon as possible, as our stock is limited.
For mattresses and sleeping bags, we have a rental partner.
You are welcome to bring your own equipment, provided it is suitable for your stay. Please contact us beforehand to confirm this. Please note, however, that lifejackets and helmets must be provided by Blue Secret for safety and liability reasons. No discount will be applied for the use of your own equipment.
The equipment list is available on the page for each adventure. Once you have booked, a technical sheet detailing the equipment required will be sent to you by email.
Yes, the mentioned equipment has been selected based on our experiences during scouting. It is essential to bring all the indicated gear.
Meals are included in certain trips and come from local producers. We prioritize short supply chains. Lunches are usually in the form of picnics, and dinners are shared as a group.
We offer different types of accommodations depending on the trip: bivouac, camping, or mountain hut. There is no luxury here; the quality lies in simplicity. The details are specified in each technical sheet. Unfortunately, it is not possible to change the type of accommodation, except in the case of a private trip.
For guided adventures, if the nights are spent in bivouacs or campsites, tents will be provided. They are designed for two people, so you will need to share your tent. If you prefer to have a tent to yourself, no problem—just specify it when you register and pay the indicated supplement.Pour les refuges, les participants dorment dans des dortoirs.
Lunches are almost exclusively picnic-style. Depending on the adventure, dinners may be cooked at the bivouac or served in campsites, mountain huts, or restaurants. In the case of bivouacs, everyone's participation is, of course, welcome.
Transportation during the trip is included. However, getting to the adventure's starting point is at your own expense.
Departure dates are scheduled in advance and available on the adventure page. New dates may be added depending on demand, so feel free to ask us. We invite you to stay informed through our social media and by subscribing to our newsletter

The group size varies depending on the adventure. Generally, groups consist of 4 to 8 people. For safety reasons, some trips are limited to 6 participants. You can find a 'group size' section on each trip page for more details.
Safety is our top priority. Even if the weather conditions are not ideal (rain, wind, clouds), the adventure will continue as long as participants' safety is not compromised. If the weather affects the route, an alternative itinerary may be proposed by the guide to ensure the group's safety. If no alternative is possible, the trip or activity will be canceled
If the water levels are not suitable, three options are considered:
In the case of rescheduling or cancellation, you can choose between a voucher or a refund. The voucher is valid for 12 months on all trips offered by Blue Secret. If the voucher is not used within this period, a refund will be issued afterward.
Vouchers are not nominative, meaning they can be transferred to another person, provided they also meet all the physical and technical requirements of the trip.
Your backpack will generally contain your packraft, navigation equipment, picnic, and some spare clothes, weighing up to approximately 10 kg.
Most 2- or 3-day safety training courses take place at Île de la Serre, near Lyon. This site offers optimal conditions for training. However, the location may vary depending on demand.
For one-day courses, they can take place in the Verdon or in Annecy
One-day outings are designed to help you discover a destination, such as the Verdon Canyon or the Gorges du Fier, without focusing primarily on technical instruction. Training courses, on the other hand, emphasize technique and safety, with a particular focus on learning and improving packrafting skills.
No, prior packrafting experience is not required. Our self-guided trips are designed to introduce you to this sport and outdoor adventure. A member of our team will be there at the beginning of the trip to explain everything you need to know.
Our trips are open to a wide audience eager to discover this new activity. The required technical level is very accessible. Only the physical demand may vary depending on the chosen itinerary.
The packraft is inflated using an inflation bag, which allows air to be transferred into the boat. This process needs to be repeated several times and takes about ten minutes. No worries—a Blue Secret team member will be present during the briefing to provide all necessary instructions and demonstrate the process.
At the beginning of your adventure, you will meet with a member of our team for a briefing and the distribution of the necessary equipment. They will present the planned itinerary, provide you with your road book, and, if applicable, your meals. A practical demonstration on how to use the packraft will be given to ensure your comfort and safety throughout the adventure.
Additionally, to lighten your load as much as possible, your overnight luggage will be transported to the bivouac or campsite location, allowing you to travel light.
Finally, at the end of the adventure, a team member will be present to check and collect the equipment.
Generally, your backpack will include your packraft, navigation equipment, picnic, and a few spare clothes, with a total maximum weight of approximately 10 kg
The goal of a self-guided trip is to allow you to experience an outdoor adventure independently while benefiting from organized logistics and assistance if needed. For safety reasons, a minimum of two people is required to participate. You can then enjoy your trip with whomever you choose and at your own pace.
Departure dates are scheduled in advance and available on the trip page. New dates may be added depending on demand. We encourage you to contact us and stay informed through our social media and by subscribing to our newsletter.
You can see the number of available spots when selecting your trip date during the booking process. As the number of trips is currently limited, we recommend booking as soon as possible.
For safety reasons, it is essential to have at least two people to join a self-guided trip.
Although the road book does not necessarily have to be followed to the letter, we strongly recommend sticking to it for safety reasons. If an incident occurs outside the planned routes, Blue Secret disclaims any responsibility, and additional assistance fees may apply.
In case of an issue, a member of the Blue Secret team will be available to assist you. You will meet them at the start of the trip and can contact them in case of an emergency. For life-threatening emergencies, dial 112 directly.
A repair kit will be provided to you at the start of the trip. Depending on the extent of the damage, you may be able to make a repair on-site and continue your adventure. In case of an emergency, our team will be available to assist you.

Each multi-day adventure requires a minimum number of participants for it to take place. The minimum number of people is indicated on the trip's technical sheet. Generally, the minimum varies from 2 to 4 people. If there are not enough participants, the trip may be canceled up to 7 days before departure. After this period, the adventure will go ahead as planned. In any case, you will be regularly informed about the status of your trip.
In general, please note that our adventures have a booking rate between 50% and 100%
Due to a lack of participants, the multi-day adventure can be canceled at any time, but no later than 7 days before departure. After this period, the adventure will take place as planned. In any case, you will be regularly informed by email and phone about the status of your trip's availability.

The need for insurance depends on the destination and type of activity.
For a micro-adventure in France, only participants who are not residents of France are required to have insurance.
For a trip abroad, such as in Slovenia for example, all participants must be insured, regardless of their place of residence. You have the option to obtain this insurance through your credit card or via a third-party provider.
Currently, Blue Secret does not provide specific insurance for its participants. However, we are working to offer this option as soon as possible
