The instructors at Blue Secret are renowned guides in the world of kayaking. They have been in the profession for many years and love sharing their knowledge
The course content is tailored to the reality of the field. We are familiar with the main hazards of rivers, and it is important for you to understand them.
The course is also an opportunity for you to test new equipment before making a purchase. If you have any doubts, the instructors will be able to give you helpful advice.
Thank you to Antoine and Xavier for this great technical course and their good humor. This course allowed us to put ourselves in difficult situations (swimming alongside our packraft, falling into rapids, etc.) and understand the solutions to get ourselves out safely. We felt secure, and our needs were listened to by the two guides.
I've just returned from a 3-day course, 2 days on an artificial river and 1 day on the Chéran. We were able to work in a small group on safety techniques during the first days and focus on our personal navigation skills. The 2 guides, Xavier and Antoine, gave us lots of useful advice. On the 3rd day, we went on a real river to put into practice what we had learned during the beginning of the course. I highly recommend this course for those who want to gain experience before their first outing with rapids!
2 days of technical packraft training with Antoine and Xavier, pure happiness! We worked on both navigation techniques and key safety techniques. The course took place at the artificial basin of Île de la Serre, with great organization! An excellent format for me, as I wanted to gain confidence before going out without a guide.
To help you be well-prepared for your packrafting and kayaking adventures, we organize various training courses.
These courses, ranging from one day to several days, are designed to meet the specific needs of each participant based on their level and goals. The location of the courses is flexible and depends on water levels in various rivers.
Our training structure is based on three fundamental aspects: safety, navigation techniques, and essential knowledge for practicing whitewater sports. The course program can be adjusted according to the participants’ experience and preferences.
Since September 2020, we have been recognized by Rescue 3 Europe, an international organization specializing in safety training for air, land, and water environments. Our courses offer internationally recognized certifications for their excellence. We also collaborate with the French Canoe Kayak Federation.
The packrafting courses offered are divided into two options: one-day, two-day, and a three-day version.
The two-day courses are generally held in an artificial basin. This offers several advantages: enhanced safety for practicing swimming in rapids, with or without gear, and the presence of ideal rapid configurations to improve your navigation skills.
The three-day session includes the program from the previous two days, followed by the third day dedicated to applying the skills acquired on a natural river. We often travel to rivers such as the Chéran, the Fier, and sometimes the Verdon, depending on flow conditions.
Additionally, advanced weekend courses will be offered this year for those who have completed the two-day basin course (or have equivalent experience). These advanced sessions will take place on rivers with varied characteristics, such as steep alpine rivers or those with a high volume of water.
